About

Born and raised in Milan, I moved to London in the early nineties. I studied Anthropology at the London School of Economics. For my PhD I spent 18 months researching village life in the Bolivian Amazon.

I always enjoyed making things and when I encountered ceramics in 2010 it was love at first touch. I took classes with Matt Sherratt at London's City Lit, and then with North London potter Ricky Grimes. I also attended workshops with Deborah Baynes and Svend Bayer. I set up my home studio in 2013.

My work is hand thrown and glazed with traditional, lead-free glazes; each piece is unique and functional.

After 26 years London, in July 2019, I moved with my family to Cumbria and I was very lucky to find working space in the delightful Brougham Hall near Penrith (http://www.broughamhall.co.uk/our-community/pottery-studio/ ). I am very grateful to Mary Chappelhow for that.

I am a founding member of the Muswell Hill Creatives.
I am a member of the Northern Potters Association.
