About
Born and raised in Milan, Isabella moved to London in her early twenties. She studied Anthropology at LSE and spent 18 months in the Bolivian Amazon. In 2010 she encountered ceramics and it was love at first touch. She took classes with Matt Sherratt at London's City Lit, and then with North London potter Ricky Grimes.
She moved to Cumbria in 2019 and started working in the delightful and inspiring settings of Brougham Hall near Penrith. Her work is wheel-thrown stoneware. She makes tableware as well as vases inspired by rocks and lichens on the Cumbrian fells. She is a member of the Eden Valley Artistic Network and of the Northern Potters Association.
